I've always liked this video series that Amoeba Records does. They have an artist pick out some of their favorite albums. Typically the artists go for older albums. The series is basically another way for artists to talk about their musical influences or what a particular album means to the. The only negative in regards to the series is that I wish they had more hip-hop artist.
Here in this installment Ledisi talks about her favorite albums and artists, including the album that inspired her 2009 release, Turn Me Loose.
Here are the albums featured in the video if you're interested:
Earth Wind & Fire - All 'N All
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Remastered)
Aretha Franklin - 30 Greatest Hits
Otis Redding - Live in Europe
Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue (Legacy Edition)
Djavan - Djavan Ao Vivo
Jeff Buckley - Grace (Legacy Edition)
A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm
Buddy Miles - Them Changes
