It's As If Wikipedia & Last.fm Had A Baby!

well actually it's actually IMDB & Amazon.com's baby. They have come together to launch SoundUnwound.com, which is basically their attempt at becoming an encyclopedia for music that can be edited by it's users like Wikipedia for information on everything and Discogs.com, which is another music database that's edited by it's users.

I will admit that I am way too geeked for this, but I'm pretty picky in regards to the tagging of my music files. I typically go with Discogs to find missing info in regards to mixtapes & more obscure things. Sadly, Windows Media Player uses AllMusic.com to catalog music.

The site is currently in beta, but you can read more about it on their blog.

I like it, I'm gonna continue my love affair with Discogs...but I do like it.
