I love the fact that they made Black Thought the focus of the video. Sometimes he needs to get a little star treatment. Song's ridiculous, btw!

Goodbye, Clear Channel! Hello, Crowdsourcing . . . Kinda?
According to Billboard.biz, Last.fm's reach will go beyond the internet and be coming to a terrestrial radio station near you . . . hopefully.
CBS Interactive Group is turning the Last.fm music service into a broadcast radio station. Starting Oct. 5, the Last.fm station will be multicast on CBS's high-definition radio channels in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco-as well as streamed on CBS Radio's website-as a programmed channel.
Last.fm's user-generated weekly charts will inform the playlist, with live performances and interviews mixed throughout. The top-played songs on the Last.fm digital music service are compiled into weekly charts, which are also influenced by songs that show the greatest gains in the week as well.
Radio personality Sat Bisla will host the station's flagship program "Last.fm Discovers," featuring popular music and artist interviews. Seth Neiman, digital content manager for CBS Interactive, will serve as program director.
CBS Interactive Music Group president David Goodman said the company hopes the Last.fm channel will attract new users to the HD Radio format.Although it's only going to be launched in four markets (KITS-FM: 105.3 HD3 in San Francisco, WWFS-FM: 102.7 HD2 in New York, KCBS-FM: 93.1 HD2 in Los Angeles, & WXRT-FM: 93.1 HD3 in Chicago) you will still be able to listen to it through CBSRadio.com.
With the stations being in HD Radio, it might make the Zune HD

J.Period & K'NAAN present their final offering: The Messengers (Deluxe Edition), a long-play version of their epic trilogy, including previously unreleased bonus tracks and selected 12" singles. Taking hip hop fans on an unprecedented journey into the legacies of Fela Kuti, Bob Marley
and Bob Dylan
, The Messengers has racked up over 85,000 downloads/plays in only a few short weeks online, making this mixtape a bonafide phenomenon. The Messengers is already being called “one of the year’s best albums or mixtapes” by top hip hop journalists, including HipHopDX.com.
Bonus Content:
The Great Depression (Dylan Tribute)
Take A Minute [J.Period Fela Remix]
Tom Thumb's Blues [J.Period Dylan Remix]
Don't Think Twice [Messengers Remix]
Stir It Up [Messengers Remix]
Got My Dream [Messengers Remix]

DJ Premier Talks Street Hop & Dream Cyphers
If you have talked to me about hip-hop or followed this blog to any degree, you know that I consider Primo the embodiment of hip-hop. What Jordan is to basketball he is to production! I make no effort to hide my Man Crush for him. Anyway I stumbled across this interview in which he discusses Street Hop
, his upcoming collaboration with Royce Da 5'9" as well as a cypher with Mos Def, Eminem, Black Thought & Royce Da 5'9" and more!

Joe "You Lie!" Wilson Seem A Little Shook
The Republican, South Carolina Rep. who got mighty gully (Do the kids still say, "gully"?) during the President's speech by calling him a liar on national television doesn't seem to be dealing with the fall out anywhere near as bravely. According to Black Web 2.0 the internet response clogged the series of tubes known as the internetS. Joey even surpassed America's love of thick chicks.
It appears that the backlash has taken a bit of a toll on him. I hope he doesn't make his living through public speaking.
