have to say I really dig John Mayer's clean guitar sound which mimics MJ's vocals, but I really could do without the backup vocals--totally unnecessary. I'd argue maybe this whole tribute concert/public funeral bordered on being excessive. I love MJ, but something about this doesn't sit right. I can't wait for the Commemorative dinner plates and Funeral DVD's to be sold by infomercial--crass commercialization that leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth. "Why?" "Why?" Cuz the Jacksons do it that way. And I don't want to hear a testimonial from MJ's "daughter" about how he was a good father, that just seemed weird to me.

I so loved John Mayer's rendition of Human Nature. Thanks for posting this up B!
I enjoyed the memorial and I think people were seeking to really celebrate his life.
I love this tribute!
