Mayweather's Not So Money/Back For More Cash

Mr. Mayweather may no longer be able conviently retire to duck fighters who can possibly beat him. According to SportingNews.com & Boxingscene.com, "Money" as Mayweather is known to call himself, is having a bit of a cash flow problem. He's in debt to the IRS for $6,000,000. I guess he's not exactly printing money over there at his label, Philthy Rich Records.

This gives me hope that I may finally see him step in the ring with Shane Mosley or Miguel Cotto. But since those are the only fights I care to see him in, instead he will continue to pick fights against naturally smaller fighters like the winner of Manny Pacquiao & Ricky Hatton. Mayweather's already easily beaten Hatton once at Welterweight, although Ricky is naturally a Junior Welterweight (140 lbs). He will probably try for an easy pay day if Ricky were to pull out an upset of Pacquiao, which I seriously doubt he can do. If Manny were to win Floyd would dodge Cotto & Mosley by going after a man who won his first world title in the Flyweight division. FLYWEIGHT!!! That's 112 lbs, kids! Hell, there's even talk of Floyd possibly coming out of retirement to face Juan Manuel Márquez, according to ESPN.com's Dan Rafael.
